SEDIPRO Ingredients
Magnesium
Magnesium is one of the more important minerals in the body, it is needed for the function of many enzymes and is important for maintaining muscle and nerve functions, and for the heart and vascular system. About 60% of the body’s magnesium interacts with calcium and phosphorus. The daily loss of magnesium via sweat and urine is about 6mg / kg body weight, which must be recovered by the maintenance feed. However magnesium can not be stored in the body and must therefore be added continuously with the feed. It has been found that both humans and horses often suffer from a lack of magnesium. One of the shortcomings in horses is nervousness, cautious tense.
In the case of magnesium deficiency, the body can not handle the substances released in stress or fear and this becomes apparent in an increased reaction to environmental events. The reason for the increasing lack of magnesium we see today is depleted soils, but may also be due to the fact that the balance of calcium and magnesium feed is wrong. Sedipro contains magnesium with high bioavailability in the form of a unique combination of easily absorbed magnesium oxide and magnesium chelate. Chelated is the term when the electrolyte is protein bound, which is extra important for rapid biological uptake.
Tryptophan
For horses in stressful situations, the feed is not enough for everyone to meet the need and balance stress reactions. Tryphophan also stimulates tarman’s movement and contributes to better uptake.
Tryptophan is an important amino acid that the body itself can not form. In the body, tryptophan is used for seretonin and melatonin, which is important for balancing mood, sleep and appetite.
Passion flower
The beautiful passion flower is found in hundreds of colors orginates from North and Central America, Australia, Asia and Madagascar. Its effects are used for the treatment of tension, restlessness and helps to give a better sleep.
The calming effect of the passion flower is due to the increased amount of available GABA, one of the brain’s most important sedatives. Additionally, the receptors that make up GABA become more available. The passion flower can reduce anxiety and stress without compromising focus and concentration.
Griffonia
Griffonia is a bush from Central West Africa. Seeds from its flowers help to produce 5-hodroxytryptophan (5-HTP). In the brain, HTP is converted to seretonin that regulates mood, sleep and appetite. This is important for well-being, energy and general condition. The leaves from Griffonia are used to heal wounds and the bark has healing and antiseptic qualities.
